DIRECTOR

Paul Haslam

With over 20 years of senior management and executive experience in the industry, Paul has established himself as a recognised leader among his peers.

His extensive career includes executive committee membership with Suez Recycling & Recovery, Director Suez-ResourceCo, SGM SA, and GM Collections NSW/QLD.

Paul has experience in all facets of the waste industry and has been instrumental in assembling and managing flood and natural disaster response clean-up units in Queensland and New South Wales over the past decade. With his passion for the waste management industry and commitment to delivering outstanding results, Paul is a champion for his clients and a highly experienced leader in the field.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Colin McAree

Colin McAree brings over 25 years of experience in waste management, with expertise in operations, business development, and environmental recovery. His background spans skips, demolition, commercial and industrial (CNI) waste, and resource recovery projects like Titree.

Colin has managed major environmental recovery efforts and worked with key commercial accounts, including Santos, CSR, Bradken, and Dulux. His experience also includes supplying skips for construction and demolition projects.

Colin’s broad industry knowledge and commitment to sustainable solutions make him a trusted leader in waste management.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Keith McGaw

Keith has a rich history in the waste industry, with a journey that began in his school days, where he spent his mornings and afternoons following his dad and uncle's garbage van during their collection runs.

He has been in the industry since EXPO88 and has acquired a vast wealth of experience in all facets of waste management.

Keith is responsible for the compliance, and scheduling of the company's crews, and the daily deployment of the company’s fleet. With his experience and expertise, Keith ensures that CWS operates efficiently and effectively, delivering outstanding service to its clients. His passion for the waste industry and commitment to excellence have earned him a reputation as a leader in the field.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT MANAGER

Caitlin Hillier

As Administration Manager, Caitlin Hillier anchors our team. Inheriting a passion for the waste industry from her father, she embarked on her career immediately after high school and has since accrued a decade of expertise.

Her collaboration with the founders of Complete Waste Solutions (CWS) spans various roles, culminating in her pivotal role since CWS’s inception in 2023.

Caitlin expertly intertwines customer service, operations, and administration, driving our company’s success. Beyond her professional prowess, Caitlin’s new role as a mother exemplifies her capacity for fostering growth both in business and life.

The CWS Story

CWS Australia was established in 2022 by industry veterans Paul Haslam, Ian Bock and Keith Megaw, combining executive-level experience from Veolia and Remondis with decades of hands-on transport and waste operations expertise.

Since then, the company has entered a new chapter. Paul continues as Managing Director, joined by Colin McAree and Caitlin Hillier as co-owners. Together with Keith’s operational leadership, the team brings deep experience across waste management, resource recovery, compliance, fleet operations and major environmental response—while retaining the practical, hands-on approach on which CWS was built.

The Right Equipment for the Job

CWS operates a versatile, purpose-built fleet capable of handling everything from routine collections to hazardous materials and complex waste movements. Our vehicles and equipment are selected, maintained, and deployed to meet the demands of each job — helping us work safely and reliably across a range of sites and waste streams.

We currently operate a bulk haulage transport fleet of 13 solid and liquid transport vehicles servicing clients throughout Southeast Queensland.

CWS has independent environmental approval from the DES (ERA 57) and is geared up for transport of dangerous Goods.
